Triple Shooting, Homicide In Philadelphia: Police (Developing)

A shooting has left two people in the hospital and a man dead, Philadelphia police announced late on Friday night.

The triple shooting happened in the 5600 block of Pentridge Street at 7:24 p.m., as detailed in the PPD release. 

The fatal victim was a 28-year-old Black man who suffered "multiple gunshot wounds throughout his body," PPD said. He was taken by police to Presbyterian Hospital, where he was pronounced dead ten minutes later. 

Another Black man, a 36-year-old, suffered a single gunshot wound to his abdomen and was taken to the same hospital where he remains in critical condition, according to the police. 

The third victim is a 55-year-old Black woman who was shot once in the left forearm and once in the left chest, as explained in the release. The police transported the her to same hospital where she remains in stable condition.

The scene was secured, and the Homicide Unit is actively investigating the incident, but so far no weapons have been recovered and no arrests have been made.
